Lemongrass / Cymbopogon citratus

A restorative and cleansing plant distillation to support temperature regulation and relaxation. Excellent for use in sports massage.

From a family of fragrant grasses, also known as West Indian Lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus is a tropical plant native to Southeast Asia. A celebrated culinary herb, Lemongrass also has a long history in health applications due to its restorative, balancing and cleansing support properties. Within the plant distillation, it contains 65–85% citral, which also makes it useful as an effective insect repellent.

  • Part used: Leaves

Ingredients: 100% pure Cymbopogon citratus, distilled leaves.

Key component: Citral, Geraniol, Neryl acetate, Methylheptenone.

Deodorizer and insect repellent: Diffuse directly into the immediate environment.

Fluid retention: Add 5 drops to a foot bath. Repeat as often as required.

Sports massage: Add 5-10 drops to your preferred massage carrier.

Fever and temperature regulation: Add 5-10 drops of Lemongrass to a tepid bath, or to Sweet Almond oil and rub all over the body, as required.

Therapeutic baths should not exceed 15 minutes.

If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health specialist.
