Blood sugar, or glucose, is the main source of energy for the body's cells, but maintaining it within a healthy range is crucial for overall health. High blood sugar levels, if left unmanaged, can lead to conditions such as diabetes and other metabolic disorders. Supplements can play a supportive role in managing blood sugar levels. Ingredients like chromium, berberine, and alpha-lipoic acid are known to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. Additionally, fiber supplements can slow the absorption of sugar, helping to maintain steady blood sugar levels. While supplements can be beneficial, they should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet, regular exercise, and under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

CandiKill 120 Veg Capsules

CandiKill is formulated to target Candida albicans and other fungal infections. Candida infections can produce various symptoms depending on the area of infection. Once you and your healthcare practitioner have determined that you are suffering from a candida infection, CandiKill can play an important role in reducing this type of infection. Dietary changes are also crucial in reversing Candida overgrowth, which your doctor will discuss with you. It is usually suggested that one take a good quality probiotic while trying to eradicate Candida, such as SBC by Nutritional Frontiers.

Benefits:

Berberine is an alkaloid (type of plant constituent) derived from various wild plants with yellow roots, such as goldenseal, Oregon grape root, barberry, and goldthread. Studies in vitro, in animals, and in humans have demonstrated that berberine exhibits broad spectrum anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity. Berberine has also been shown to be useful in the case of anti-fungal resistance. In other words, in the same way that overuse of antibiotics has resulted in antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, there are also antifungal-resistant cases of Candida infection.

Caprylic Aci is a medium-chain fatty acid commonly included in natural antifungal supplements. Some studies have shown that Caprylic Acid inhibits Candida growth. A 2012 Japanese study in mice demonstrated that Caprylic Acid was effective against both mycelial growth and yeast-form growth of Candida albicans in oral candidiasis. Caprylic Acid may have some antibacterial properties as well.

Olive Leaf Extract (Olea europaea) has been used by herbalists and in traditional folk medicines for many years to treat a variety of conditions. The olive tree is a small, evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. A 2013 Pakistani study verified that Olive Leaf Extract shows antifungal and antibacterial potential. Another 2013 study showed that olive extracts exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against various bacteria. Olive leaves not only possess antimicrobial characteristics, but also demonstrate antioxidant activity.

Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus x paradisi) was discovered by an American immunologist in 1980. It has been used to combat Candida and other infections. An in vitro study conducted in Poland showed that grapefruit seed extract exerted potent antifungal activity against various Candida yeast strains.

Garlic Bulb (Allium sativum) has been revered for thousands of years as a culinary and medicinal plant. Garlic is mentioned in the Bible, the Talmud, and by ancient physicians such as Hippocrates, Galen, Pliny the Elder, and Dioscorides. Garlic is often included in anti-microbial formulas. Modern research confirms its traditional use in fighting infections. Garlic also shows promise in preventing atherosclerosis, lowering cholesterol, and reducing excessive platelet adhesion.

Pumpkin Seed With a wide variety of nutrients ranging from magnesium and manganese to copper, protein and zinc, pumpkin seeds are nutritional powerhouses wrapped up in a very small package. Because these are high-fiber seeds, they’re able to boost your fiber intake, helping you reach the ideal amount of 50 grams per 1,000 calories consumed. Pumpkin seed oil has been found to exhibit anti-inflammatory effects. One animal study even found it worked as well as the anti-inflammatory drug indomethacin in treating arthritis, but without the side effects.

Thyme Aerial Extract (Thymus vulgaris) is derived from the fragrant thyme plant, which is probably best known for its culinary use. Thyme also has many traditional medicinal uses: herbalists have used thyme for treating people with bronchitis, cough, upset stomach, whooping cough, and infections. Various studies have examined and verified the antimicrobial effects of thyme extract and thyme essential oil. Oregano Aerial Extract (Origanum vulgare) extracted from the leaf of oregano has been shown to have antifungal action, according to in vitro studies. In particular, one study showed benefits of oregano oil specifically against Candida albicans. Oregano is prized for both its culinary and medicinal applications, and is native to the Mediterranean region but is cultivated world-wide.

Pro Oranges 30 Serving Powder

Nutritional Frontiers’ Pro Powders are all-natural fruit and vegetable-based juice powders, fortified with specific nutrients to target specific systems. Sometimes people find it difficult to attain the recommended 5-7 servings of produce a day, and that’s where Pro Oranges by Nutritional Frontiers come in.

Ingesting a variety of fruits and vegetables daily provides intake of phenols, vitamin C, proanthocyanidins, ellagic acid, bioflavonoids, and anthocyanins, all of which are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants battle damage from free radicals, which are believed to play a role in numerous health conditions like aging, cancer, atherosclerosis, and more.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, Pro Oranges features added nutrients like riboflavin (vitamin B-2), vitamin C from acerola fruit, and added fiber as Fibersol®-2. Fibersol®-2 is a soluble fiber comprised of a digestion-resistant maltodextrin. Fiber serves many purposes, including binding toxins in the intestines to aid in detoxification, helping glucose and lipid control, and supporting proper bowel function, regularity, fecal volume, and beneficial intestinal micro flora. What makes Fibersol®-2 unique is that it is so soluble and less dense than other fibers that it mixes instantly and does not cause bloating or intestinal gas, like other fiber products. Fibersol®-2 is not only well-tolerated but also results in favorable fermentation characteristics in the large bowel, assisting production of the short chain fatty acid butyrate which is the preferred fuel source of colon cells.

SBC 90 Veg Capsules

SBC supplies 5 Billion CFU of Saccharomyces Boulardii and 2 Billion CFU of Bifidobacterium lactis (BI-04)

Recommended to Support

  • Healthy microbial balance
  • GI health
  • Immune System

Functions

SBC II may be useful for individuals wanting to support their intestinal microflora balance. Oral supplements of live, beneficial intestinal microorganisms for nutritional health and well being are known as probiotics. Bacteria are continually in competition for colonization space.

The original bacteria have a distinct advantage over transient bacteria however the composition of the intestinal microflora is dynamic and constantly changing.

If harmful organisms proliferate, the delicate balance is disturbed and it becomes very difficult for helpful bacteria to maintain their territory and to colonize the intestinal tract. Antibiotics from medications, food and water tend to kill of both the beneficial and harmful bacteria, and thus disrupt the normal healthy balance of intestinal microorganisms.

Research

Saccharomyces Boulardii (BioOtic®) is a nonpathogenic yeast that has been proven to support the gastrointestinal tract. Research studies have proven that S.Boulardii may work by modulating the body’s immune response, thus helping to improve the resistance to enteropathogenic bacteria.

Bifidobacterium lactis (Bl-04): high tolerance to survival in intestinal conditions (acid & bile), strong adhesion to intestinal wall, maintains & rapidly restores microbiota after antibiotic therapy, improves immune response, may reduce inflammation.

The Bl-04 strains benefits include:

  • A long history of safe use
  • Well-Suited for intestinal survival
  • Gastrointestinal health and well-being
  • Beneficial modulation of immune functions

Intestinal health and Immune function

Over 60% of your bodies immune cells live in the mucosal cells of the intestinal tract. This provides the body with the first line of defense against any foreign invaders. It is designed to activate and fight off any foreign invaders such as toxins, bacteria, yeasts, viruses, chemical plus many other things we are exposed to on a daily basis.

Maintaining a normal and balanced microbial ecological system is vital to maximizing the immune system. This very delicate and complex system contains over 400 different species of probiotics and over 1 trillion cells.

Neuropath-ease 60 Veg Capsules

Neuropath-ease contains several B vitamins along with other key nutrients to help aid nerve cell transmission and reduce the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.

Neuropathy consists of numbness, tingling, and sometimes weakness and is caused by damage to peripheral nerves. Peripheral neuropathy can occur as a result of diabetes, Lyme disease, chronic liver or kidney disease, AIDS, and other diseases. Neuropathies may also be seen with nutritional deficiencies, medication side effects, and more. Sometimes neuropathy is “idiopathic” in which case the cause of the condition is unknown. To properly find the cause of neuropathy, please discuss all medication use with your physician since some medications can cause neuropathies either as a side effect or by contributing to nutrient deficiency. People with diabetic neuropathy may be able to help their neuropathy symptoms by achieving better blood sugar control. One way to do this is by modifying diet, exercise and supplement intake- all of which can be done with the guidance of a qualified integrative healthcare practitioner. According to some research, people with idiopathic peripheral neuropathy are at higher risk of developing metabolic syndrome, which consists of high cholesterol, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, and obesity. Again, lifestyle changes and appropriate supplementation can have a positive impact. For people who already suffer from peripheral neuropathy, please be careful to wear well-fitting footwear and moisture-wicking socks: feet should always be kept clean and dry. Patients with peripheral neuropathy should be diligent about monitoring the health of their feet, checking for areas of inflammation, calluses, sores, bruises, blisters, etc.

About the Ingredients in Neuropath-ease:

Alpha Lipoic Acid is an important antioxidant nutrient that can provide protection against developing peripheral neuropathy if you have diabetes. Alpha lipoic acid has been studied for its ability to prevent nerve damage and improve insulin sensitivity. Alpha lipoic acid can be important even in those with idiopathic neuropathy rather than diabetic neuropathy since they are at higher risk for developing metabolic syndrome.

Biotin is a B vitamin that plays an essential role in the body’s ability to process glucose. Biotin is used to reduce pain from nerve damage caused by diabetes. One 2011 study showed that using biotin in combination with other nutrients such as thiamin, riboflavin, zinc, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 (all found in Neuropathease) helped ameliorate diabetic neuropathy symptoms. Biotin has the added benefit of helping to lower glucose levels in patients with high blood sugar.

Vitamin B12 is included in the form of methylcobalamin- a superior form of B12 with enhanced absorption- because B12 deficiency is associated with symptoms of neuropathy. B12 deficiency occurs in elderly populations, vegans, after gastric bypass surgery, and with certain medication use (like metformin), among other reasons.

Folate works together with vitamin B12 in nervous system function, DNA synthesis, and methylation in all ages and therefore is included in this formula. Like B12 deficiency, folate deficiency is associated with neuropathy. Methylfolate is the preferred form of folate over folic acid, since methylfolate is more easily utilized by the body and also better tolerated in individuals with the common genetic mutation MTHFR.

In addition to vitamin B12, folate, and biotin, other B vitamin deficiencies are associated with neuropathies: thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), panthothenic acid (B5), and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (B6). Deficiencies of these vitamins can occur in cases of malnutrition and alcoholism, for example. Neuropath-ease contains all of these critical B vitamins.

Chromium is a mineral that is included in Neuropath-ease to help prevent neuropathy in diabetics. Chromium has been used by people with diabetes to improve insulin sensitivity. Chromium deficiency was found to cause neuropathy in some patients on IV nutrition. Chromium deficiency is likely rare, however certain common medications like antacids, proton pump inhibitors, H2 blockers, and corticosteroids are known to interfere with chromium absorption.

Boswellia serrata is found throughout western and central India. It is used in Ayurvedic medicine to target inflammatory conditions. Research supports its use as an anti- inflammatory agent that can help reduce pain.
